Karen A. Hart, RN, BSN, worked as a staff nurse and manager, held several health care recruitment positions, and managed the National Association for Health Care Recruitment for many years. For the past 13 years, Karen was a senior vice president and health care recruitment consultant with Bernard Hodes Group, a global recruitment communications company. Karen lives in Ohio.
Patricia D'Aurizio, RN, MPA, CHCR, NE-BC, worked as a staff nurse and manager, held several health care recruitment positions, was active as a board member and served as president of the National Association for Heath Care Recruitment. Most recently, Pat was a vice president and health care recruitment consultant with Bernard Hodes Group. Pat resides in New Jersey.
Both Karen and Pat have worked extensively with health care clients on recruitment process assessments, developed workforce planning processes, conducted mystery shops of the application and recruitment process, and consulted with numerous health care clients on a variety of issues and concerns related to recruitment and retention. Clients have included large and small organizations; from single facilities to large systems.
Active in HR and recruitment professional associations, Pat and Karen have also authored numerous articles and white papers, been involved in over 20 primary research projects related to health care recruitment, and are recognized as thought leaders in the health care recruitment community. They have presented on workforce issues locally, regionally and nationally.
